End of life for Mac OS 9 VueScan

I've decided I'm no longer going to produce new versions of
VueScan for Mac OS 9. I'll leave VueScan 7.6.64 on my web
site for people to download, but I'm not planning on making
any new versions for Mac OS 9.

If anyone has any strong objections to this, or if they think
I should reconsider, please let me know.

I'm planning on getting rid of the Mac OS 9 Mac that I
use to do the builds, and plan on doing this in the next
day or so, so if anyone wants to convince me otherwise,
it needs to be in the next 24 hours.

Regards,
Ed Hamrick

As someone who has used the OS 9 version of VueScan a lot, I'll say that I
have no objection personally. Last summer I bought a new Mac and switched
to OS X, so I no longer need the OS 9 version myself.

A regrettable piece of information, since I am still a Mac OS 9 user. (I
have not been successful in my attempts in switching to OSX). But I see
the point, and feel there is nothing else to do than to accept that time
is running out for the old OS. This has been a predictable situation.
For my part, I am forced to run OS 9 for some time more, and to that end
I am keeping version 7.6.64 together with some older versions.

I take the opportunity to thank Ed Hamrick for his unique and never
ending interest in improving his software and his following-up to all
kinds of questions from us - the users. I should like to thank
explicitly for the support given to both of the Macintosh systems. I
understand that he could not keep on doing so.
