Hi Folks,

The first scan of the day I insert a page into the ADF and hit the email
button (set to PDF format) I get these 1 inch wide black vertical lines down
each side( reminds you of a dirty fax machine lines). When I redo the scan
and the rest of the day there are no lines.

Any idea what causes this? Thanks for any help.

Various office-type scanners have routines for eliminating this
invevitable problem..same with photocopiers.

The fix involves scanning a perfect white paper and entering certain
instructions to the scanner. You will almost certainly find the fix if
you look in the scanner native application's "Help"...this isn't a
Vuescan issue.

I looked in the scanner help section and found no reference to this issue.

Thanks...
